Things have been quiet on this blog but I’ve been very busy working on all sorts of projects. The most significant being the annual kids production (The Pied Piper) from Stoke Fleming Operatic and Drama Society (Little SODS); opens Friday 7th February. In fact I’ve stolen a bit of time out of that project to post this.
During the past few years August has usually been pretty much consumed with photography of The Inn Theatre’s excellent outdoor Shakespeare Week productions at Dartmouth Castle (loads of material on this site under the Photography menu). Part of the work involves getting photos out for PR. I’m always thrilled when my photos are good enough to publish in the local press, the deadlines are usually tight so the pleasure is doubled when photos are submitted on time, printed and even credited. The whole thing is pretty much done and dusted by the end of August, so imagine my delight when I was passed the local paper using the photo above to illustrate an article about The Inn Theatre’s new Bursary for young acting talent (the story won’t be live on their site until next week, you could always buy the paper if you live locally).
2014’s Production will be “The Taming of the Shrew” and August 5th will come soon enough.
